The Escuela Universitaria de Magisterio Fray Luis de Le\u00f3n, the Catholic University of Avila and the collaborating universities are pleased to organize this congress dedicated to the urgent and essential task of rescuing education. From our perspective, the expression rescue education should not be understood as a mere response to a temporary or structural crisis. Rather, it seeks to go back to the root: to question the very essence of what it means to educate. What does it really mean to educate a person? What vision of the human being, of life and of society underpins our educational models? How can the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition, particularly its rich anthropological and personalist legacy, offer a renewed and critical contribution to contemporary educational challenges? <\/p>\n
We understand this congress as a space for reflective, rigorous and hopeful dialogue between teachers, educators and researchers committed to rethinking education in the light of its deepest vocation: to accompany each person in the discovery of his or her inherent dignity, freedom and capacity to access truth and meaning.<\/p>\n
Therefore, we are open to receive communications that address, among others, the following topics:<\/p>\n
We especially encourage contributions that combine theoretical depth with practical perspective and present well-founded proposals for rethinking education in the present.
