Dear Sir / Madam
The Escuela Universitaria de Magisterio Fray Luis de León, the Catholic University of Avila and the collaborating universities are pleased to organize this congress dedicated to the urgent and essential task of rescuing education. From our perspective, the expression rescue education should not be understood as a mere response to a temporary or structural crisis. Rather, it seeks to go back to the root: to question the very essence of what it means to educate. What does it really mean to educate a person? What vision of the human being, of life and of society underpins our educational models? How can the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition, particularly its rich anthropological and personalist legacy, offer a renewed and critical contribution to contemporary educational challenges?
We understand this congress as a space for reflective, rigorous and hopeful dialogue between teachers, educators and researchers committed to rethinking education in the light of its deepest vocation: to accompany each person in the discovery of his or her inherent dignity, freedom and capacity to access truth and meaning.
Therefore, we are open to receive communications that address, among others, the following topics:
- Education and anthropology: Studies on the anthropological foundations that shape educational theory and practice. What image of the human person is transmitted in the classroom? How can education focus on the full dignity, freedom and openness to the transcendence of the person?
- Theory of education and history of Catholic education: Critical analysis of the dominant educational paradigms and dialogue with classical or contemporary theories that support a humanistic and transcendent vision of education. Studies on significant figures, movements or institutions in the history of Catholic education, considering their relevance to current and future challenges.
- Formation of formators: The role of the educator as guide. Reflections and practical strategies for the intellectual, ethical and spiritual formation of teachers and university faculty in Catholic institutions.
- Pedagogy of faith: Studies that explore ways of cultivating interiority and openness to transcendence in the field of higher education. Integration of faith, reason and lived experience in university teaching and formation.
We especially encourage contributions that combine theoretical depth with practical perspective and present well-founded proposals for rethinking education in the present. Theoretical essays, empirical studies, case studies or well-documented educational experiences are welcome, as long as they meet the academic standards and humanistic orientation of this conference.

The Congress is organized around five thematic axes that seek to reflect the different dimensions of the educational challenge centered on the person:
- Education and Anthropology
- Formation of Trainers
- Pedagogy of Faith in the university
- Theory of education and history of catholic education
We invite all researchers and educators to attend the Congress and to submit a communication proposal along the lines of the thematic axes mentioned above.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the conference is to reflect on the key to education in order to establish the meaning of authentic university training for educators of our time.
